What Should I Expect on Delivery and Installation Day with Beacon?

Q: I’ve scheduled appliance delivery and installation with Beacon. What should I expect on the day of the appointment?

A: On delivery and installation day, Beacon focuses on communication, care, and clean work. You can expect a clear arrival window, friendly technicians in yellow polos, protection for your home, careful installation using existing hookups, and a basic walkthrough before the team leaves.

Arrival Window and Communication

Before your scheduled appointment, Beacon will provide:

  • An arrival window for your delivery and installation
  • Updates if timing changes due to routing or traffic

Having your phone nearby and keeping the driveway and entry path accessible helps the installation go smoothly.

Meeting Our Friendly Technicians in Yellow

On delivery day, you’ll be greeted by our friendly technicians in yellow. They will:

  • Introduce themselves at the door
  • Confirm the appliance being installed
  • Review the installation plan before work begins

Protecting Your Home During Delivery

Before moving appliances, the team may:

  • Lay down protective materials where needed
  • Use dollies and straps to safely move heavy appliances
  • Carefully remove the old appliance if haul-away was scheduled

Securing pets and clearing walkways ahead of time helps prevent delays.

Installing and Connecting the Appliance

Once the new appliance is in place, the technicians will:

  • Level the appliance for proper operation
  • Connect water, drain, and power to existing hookups
  • Verify safety items, such as anti-tip brackets on electric ranges when applicable

Beacon does not install or service gas appliances. All installations are electric-only using existing, safe connections.

Testing and First-Use Overview

Before leaving, our technicians will:

  • Run a basic test or operational check when possible
  • Look for leaks, error codes, or abnormal noises
  • Explain basic controls and first-use steps, such as refrigerator cool-down time

After Installation

If you notice anything unusual after installation:

  • Write down what you’re seeing or hearing
  • Call Beacon so we can help determine next steps

Our goal is for you to feel confident that your appliance was installed correctly and safely.
