Bought 6 months ago and have used it at least 4 times a week. I think it has smoked the best brisket I have ever smoked. I can also say that about the pork butt for pulled pork. I use the smoker for just about everything. Love the smoker itself HOWEVER the phone app to run the smoker remotely sucks and does not work at all. I have tried many times to connect by uninstalling and reinstalling but no success.

I bought this smoker thinking Id replace a much larger charcoal one and that Id keep using my weber kettle charcoal grill and my cheapo gas grill for fast cooks. Since I got this I havent used either. This thing is awesome at smoking and also can reach high temps for grilling. Ive done boston butts at 225 degrees for 12 hours and they were perfect and plenty smokey. Ive done burgers at 600 degrees for about 8-9 minutes and they are perfectly medium inside charred with nice looking grill marks on the outside. Porterhouse steaks for a crowd in 20 minutes See photos... As far as the warm up time it takes 30 minutes to get to 350 degrees in the snow. It will overshoot this temp just about every time but after 10 minutes or so it will steady out and hold any tempurature within 10 degrees either way for days. The temp on the display and the temperature probes are garbage just like they are on $2000 treagers. Get a probe thermometer and youll see this things holds its temp like a champ About an hour to get to 600 degrees and yes it will eat pellets quickly at this temp but any pellet grill that could get this hot would. By the way this grill runs fine on every cheap pellet ive tried in it.

I have had this grill for 6 months now. There has been some good about it but a lot of bad. It take a long time to get up to your temperature. The temperature doesnt stay very accurate to where you set it. I have had a lot issues with the entire grill. The hot rod went out after only having the grill for 3 months. The company did send me a new one free of charge which was great but it took a month before I finally got it. The wifi has never worked. It never worked out of the box I did contact the company about this as well. They did send me a new antenna and I replaced it. Even with the new antenna the wifi is still not working. Another problem with the grill is the design. The design of the lid is very poor. It opens just barely far enough that it will stay open. But if you get the smallest bit of wind it will blow it closed. It is not fun when you are attempting to put stuff on or take stuff off of the grill and the lid slams shut on you. This has happened multiple times. Another design issue I have is the handle on the left. It serves zero purpose other than to move the grill. It would be great if it were a shelf that was usable and still have a handle to move the grill. You cant even buy a shelf to replace the handle. The third issue I have with the grill is not being able to control how smoke you are able to put onto stuff. I really enjoying using it as a smoker but you have no control of how much smoke you put into whatever you are smoking. I actually ending up buy a cast iron smoker box and putting wood chips in it in order to add more smoke to the meat. The customer service has been pretty good. They have helped me out by sending replacement parts free of charge. They were very responsive but the parts did take awhile before they finally showed up. The grill was unusable for a month while I was waiting for the parts. The reason I gave it a two star was because of the customer service response. I really wish that I could get my money back for this grill. It has been nothing but a problem since I bought it. I would much rather have my money back and go buy a different product. I spent way too much money on this product in order to have this issues.

Insulated the thing with fire blanket and with how thick this thing is I can smoke food all the way to -25 celcius outside. Only downside is the app is a bit buggy but other than that no regret at all.

I purchased the grill a few weeks ago and it is a very good quality grill. I have a bit of a marketing issue as the grill was posted as a 500 when it is actually a 400. The site does post the 400 dimensions so it was a little confusing and easy to overlook but I do like the grill. Just getting use to the size. If you have the room I would recommend the actual 500 grill.

I bought this grill 6 months ago to replace a Traeger that wed used a thousand times and rusted through. In general it is sturdy and well built. It holds temperature well and the ability to go to high temperatures to grill is awesome. The grill functionality itself is very good. The only two major drawbacks are that it takes much longer than the traegers to pre-heat and the wifi controller has been a total bust. Weve tried everything and it will not link to the app. Unfortunately customer service has very limited hours during the week when I have to work....so we have yet to get that going.

It holds temperature well and the ability to go to high temperatures to grill is awesome. The grill functionality itself is very good. At the end of August I purchased the Broil King 400 and had BBQs Galore build it and deliver to my home. After very first start up the BBQ would not hold the temperature the main reason for buying the device was to set and forget. I was chasing temperature all night same again the next day and the day after that... The BBQ tripped off several times which was a concern as well. I called Broil King they said I needed a new control panel and mailed one out received it after 5 days. So I now have to fix my new BBQ and swapping out control panels which isnt my first job but I did swap it out in order to get it working. However this control panel doesnt work either in fact it trips out my breaker 3 times in a row and couldnt get it up to temperature at all. Next day I called Groves Electric and had them install a new outlet new GRI switch and $200.00 later and guess what my BBQ still not working. I call Broil King again and they recommended that the Hot Rod which is a heated probe which ignites the pellets in the burn pod and they are mailing out those replacement parts so I have to repair my new BBQ again. As for BBQ Galore in Burlington the have offered to send out a technician for a service call when the new part arrives I had to order the replacement part because if BBQ Galore orders the part they say it would be 2 to 3 weeks before it arrives so in theory I will get it quicker than they will...

I was super excited to receive this as my Fathers Day gift this past June. Fast forward a short two months and currently it is nothing but a heavy useless fixture in my backyard. During a family party on August 15th while cooking it would trip my GFCI. After allowing the smoker to cool down and resetting the GFCI it would start up but once getting hot it would trip again. I tried another outlet which was NOT GFCI and again it started but this time I heard a pop and saw a spark from below the hopper. At this point I gave up and transferred my food to the oven. I called customer service and they were helpful. Although I was very disappointed to learn that I already needed two replacement parts a new controller and ignitor rod. I was further informed that the rod is on backorder and probably wont be shipped until sometime in September. Sadly it would not get to me in time for our annual family Labor Day BBQ party. Also I was told to watch a video and I would have to make these repairs myself. I am extraordinarily disappointed that after two months my pellet smoker requires two brand new components that I have to repair myself. Also parts being on backorder leads me to believe that the parts initially installed in my brand new smoker were bad to begin with. Not what I expected for a product that retails for $700. Two months before a product is rendered useless until repaired is not what I expected.

It really has a hard time keeping proper temp. Set it for 180 and went up to 211. Clean out tray awesome and wifi is awesome too just wish it kept better temperature control

I find it overshoots the set temp by 50 deg although it does come down it takes a while. This is my first pellet grill so maybe they all do that I dont know. I have not tried a long cook yet so Im curious to see how it will work keeping temp. The app is simple I wish it had more features but it works fine. Overall I am happy so far but time will tell.
