As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you have a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 352-726-7530 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. Preventative Maintenance

Why should I have a Maintenance performed on my air conditioner?

  • Cleaning the coils allows the unit to work properly and helps the unit to breathe easier - Having dirty coils can cause many issues with the system that are preventable. A clean coil is more efficient and costs you less to operate.
  • Checking the blower and compressor amps, electrical connections, and capacitors ensures it is not over amping, using more electricity than it is rated for.
  • Checking the filter, ducts, and blower wheel for air restrictions prevents high energy consumption.
  • Checking the temperature coming out of your air conditioner ensures the unit is not working harder than it needs to.
  • Calibrating the thermostat ensures the unit turns on and off properly and verifies that your setpoint temperature is accurate.
  • Checking the auxiliary heat strips ensures they are turning on and off when they are supposed to and they will work when the weather gets cold.
  • Inspecting the drain pan and flushing the drain line ensures the lines are not clogged and draining properly so you don't get a puddle of water on your floors or ceiling, which could cause expensive repairs.
  • Oiling the blower or condensing fan motor ensures that the components are moving freely and not locking up which could cause multiple component failures.
  • Checking temperatures ensures that your unit is maintaining the correct temperature and running at peak efficiency.

*** This service agreement is for one full year from the initial date of contract. The two maintenances may occur at any time during the year, although we strive for 6 month intervals. PMP customers are notified at the end of the contract however renewals are the responsibility of the customer and contracts do not auto-renew. Filter maintenance is not included and should be performed by the homeowner as needed, as well as drain line maintenance in tandem with this maintenance contract. The contract covers one air conditioning system at a time, though multi-system discounts are available. Discounts do not cross over to other services provided by Beacon such as duct cleaning, insulation, or appliance repair. Preventative Maintenance Programs are currently only available for our residential Citrus County customers. Preventative maintenance is available for commercial/business properties however may require a custom quote for service, and may not qualify for standard pricing.
